Bus Stop Food Co-op
From Foodcoop
We throw a farmstand twice a week at Spiral Gardens, on the corner of Sacramento and Oregon streets in Berkeley. We buy vegetables from local farmers' markets at the wholesale price and sell them at zero profit. This is only possible thanks to customers working once a month to keep their farmstand open. Donations are accepted as well. We're working together with the original Tuesday produce stand which friends of Spiral Gardens have kept going for three years now. Our old but unique co-op philosophy is to create a cheap and fresh neighborhood grocery, owned and operated by the neighbors.
[edit] Hours
The co-op hours change depending on when people can work the stand. If you want to see us open more often, come by and offer to help! If people don't help, the stand will eventually have to close.
- Tuesday 3-6 PM
- Thursday 2-6 PM
- Saturday 2-6 PM
